    Hey Sonia 🙂 I don’t belong to a gym anymore but I do exercise. I walk and ride my bike and also have an indoor exercise bike. I do agree that couples don’t exercise together. MY wife walks but that’s about it. I try and get as much done as I can and now getting healthy is also about eating healthy which I am doing. I was a bit shocked at what you said. Can you really get ill from exercising early? I never heard of that before 😉

I think it’s all depend on your body feel in the morning. I have been sick a few times after an early workout as I always workout first thing in the morning.     Recently I hit a wall on my weight loss, so I decided to start going to the gym a couple of times a week. I even picked up a fitbit that will yell at me if I have been sitting too long. Not really yell, but lets me know to get up and move around for a few minutes every hour. Reminders can be good at times.

    I used to stretch before working out, but my orthopedic Dr advised me to do some light warm up exercises then stretch when the muscle are warm and again when I am done excising.

    Funny you mentioned Facebook, I noticed a few pictures that were only a year or two old and couldn’t believe how I looked. Talk about motivation to do something. The rest of your points have given me more to think about.

    These are really interesting points! I have always believed that gym memberships are way too expensive… especially when you have everything you need to stay active outside if you just get moving! I have always thought i could save a lot of money if i just purchased some dumbbells and do my workouts at home especially when you have a wide variety of workouts you can look up on the internet and go by. I do have a fitbit and i will wear it for a period of time then stop for awhile, they do make you very aware of your daily activity but i think people can also get a little obsessive over them as well! Just focus on your health, be active and happy!

The reason is simple though; I like to lift weights while my wife likes zomba. I guess those two don’t go together right. Point #7 has finally put to rest an argument between my wife and I.
